HERITAGE TOMATO AGLIONE SAUCE

Sugo all' Aglione is a simple and rustic sauce integral to the famous regional pasta dish, Pici all’Aglione. This dish features thick, eggless noodles made by hand and tossed in a punchy tomato sauce made using Aglione, a type of garlic grown in the Valdichiana region between Chiusi and Montepulciano in Siena.

Pici all’Aglione has its roots in ancient Etruscan culture and is said to date back to the fifth century B.C. One thing is for sure: it is a popular dish among everyone!
